OSL  partners with area churches and Prairie Five to provide a  food shelf for emergency and community needs.  In addition, clothing and shoes are also collected for those who need emergency assistance.  The food shelf is located at the Prairie Five office on St. Olaf Ave. The food shelf has a freezer so that frozen meat, vegetables, and other foods can also be maintained.  The confirmation youth of the congregation do food drives throughout the year to ensure the shelves are stocked.  One of the largest is the youth's annual "Trick or Treat for the Hungry" campaign where they trick-or-treat on Halloween for non-perishable food items and clothing.  To donate to this ministry you may bring your donations to the church office.  Food, personal care items and baby needs are also accepted.
